These rebuilt windows of the Cathédrale Saint-Vincent de Saragosse in Saint Malo motivated me to check out more cathedrals and churches for their windows.
Interestingly enough the wall with the rosette is not at a right angle to the nave!
I found these especially colourful examples extremely inspiring. 2023.

Angelic Light
Soft light on the left side (facing the entrance) of the Abaye Aux Hommes in Caen. The Abbey was one of the towns main refuges for inhabitants during the bombings of the Battle for Caen which followed the Normandy Landings in 1944. In July 1944 a staggering 8'000 people found refuge in the Abbaye, with a red cross painted on the roof and lawn with paint of, for lack of red paint, blood of the hospitalised and casualties.

Tasting Lavender
A little Nezara viridula (Green Stink Bug), somewhere between its fourth and fifth instar, climbing over some faded lavender. He placed himself beatifully in front of a Buddleja davidii (Butterfly bush) to get the complementary colours popping! 2024

Here we are in the Ticino region of the Museum. To the left of the path we can see a house number 821, a home originally from Malvaglia (bottom floor 1515, top floor 1564), to the right of the path is house number 812, a hay barn from Pollegio (c. 1850). 2024

Entering the Zurich area we see from left to right: a farmhouse from Wila in Zürich (641), a bone Mill from Knonau in Zürich (692) and large barn from Aarau (695). They were built in the 19th century, 1680 and 1711 respectively. 2024

A house originally from Schwyz (751) built in 1336. That makes it nearly 700 years old at the time of writing!
It is the oldest building in the museum and one of the oldest wooden housing structures in existence in Switzerland. Take a minute and think about how much has changed since this house was built! 2024
